Lemon Juice Shampoo
A homemade remedy using water, lemon juice, henna and egg has been reported to stimulate the scalp to promote growth and strengthen the hair. To create this homemade shampoo, mix 5 tbsp. of henna with one egg and 1 cup of warm water. Stir the ingredients to form a thick paste. Add the juice of half of a lemon. Massage the mixture into hair and scalp, allowing it to sit until completely dry (about two hours). Rinse well with warm water.
Lemon Juice Rinse
Massaging plain lemon juice directly to the scalp will strengthen hair roots and help prevent dandruff. When hair roots are strong, the entire strand will grow stronger and longer with less breakage. Leave lemon juice on the scalp for about 15 minutes, and then wash it off. Repeat weekly. Lemon juice will also give the hair a natural shine.
Lemon Juice Coconut Oil Pack
Mix one teaspoon lemon juice with one cup of hot coconut oil and blend them properly. Massage the scalp using this mixture and leave it overnight or for a minimum of 4 hours. Wash the hair using cold water. Repeat this once in a week for better results. This treatment will strengthen the hair and hasten hair growth.
Lemon juice, Garlic or Almond Paste
Lemon juice mixed with the garlic or almond paste can be an effective treatment for the lice. Apply this mixture to the scalp and then remove it after keeping it there for half an hour. The lice may not be removed through this process but they get loosened up from the scalp, which can be combed away.
Lemon Oil, Castor Oil and Olive Oil
Grow your hair faster by blending lemon oil with castor oil and olive oil. The essential fats and vitamins in olive oil nourishes hair from the root to shaft whereas castor oil helps to develop longer, thicker and stronger hair.
- In a clean bowl mix 1 tbsp luke warm olive oil with ½ tbsp warm castor oil.
- Add 3 drops pure essential lemon oil to the bowl and mix well.
- When the oil is comfortable warm apply it on scalp and hair.
- Massage well for 5 to 10 minutes and leave the oil overnight.
- Next morning follow the lemon juice hair therapy to remove excess oil from hair and finally wash hair with a mild herbal shampoo.
- Repeat the remedy at least once a week.
